That's gorgeous sparseness, miss. And your pen work is pretty to say the least. A bit on the grey mid side... could use some darker areas or maybe just some realy un-inked ones to cause some more contrast from those black pointilistic dots. ; ) Your paper is lovely, I only regret never taking papermaking in college. The color is my favorite shade of brown buffness. And it doesn't bleed! That's really cool. I only think that maybe you could have some wispy half-finished bits somewhere else on the paper. Right now it kinda reads so graphic that I think of rubber stamps.

Thanks! These pieces are very zen for me to create, and I'm really glad other people enjoy looking at them. Makes me feel awesome!!

Paper making isn't too difficult...a lot of community centers offer classes for next to nothing. There is a very good book on papermaking at [link], and given the quality at ta very good price. It covers everything there is and what I learned from going to art school between two covers. I really can't think of a more through book!
My first few drawing I struggled with contrast. I seem to have a better handle on that with my latest drawings. The paper does bleed a little, but I use an archival glue called methel cellulose to cover my paper to start. It keeps the ink from bleeding and also keeps the tip of the pen from lifting any of the delicate paper fibers. Its a very good glue and it dries completely invisible.
Thanks for your comments!

Ah, don't remind me. My last project was about crabs, painted a huge one, lol. Again there's a lot of brilliance in the pointilism effect you're enound for. You've improved in the contrast department and your paper is always complementing to the whole deviation. Well done. :)

You seem to have a better handle on the contrast in your last drawings. I dig the fact that you create your own paper. Just adds to my admiration for your work. Keep up the great work Grace... You are a gem.

Thanks  I think I have a better grasp on the contrast too... :) I enjoy making the paper, now I'm think ing that I should go to graduate school for fiberart/papermaking instead of for painting/drawing :)
